NEW RELEASE! HumanSoft XFile 2 plug-In for Adobe PhotoShop, now offering NonLinear Resizing or Seam Carving within Photoshop or Elements.
Wilmington, NC,
Adding to its line of filter plug-ins, Human Software is announcing HumanSoft XFile version 2.0 for Mac OS X Tiger/Leopard or Windows XP/Vista featuring the most recent and advanced resizing image technology with NonLinear or Linear resizing.
Features
Non Linear Resizing or Seam Carving
XFile is now implementing the most exciting technique that has been demonstrated at the last Siggraph.. image carving right inside Photoshop or Elements, you can check the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qadw0BRKeMk for a full demonstration. With this technique image resizing of the whole image can be made while keeping the size of the most important elements of the picture. The features of the image remain untouched.XFile removes or adds areas to an image that would be least noticed.

Carve Wiping
The same very sophisticated technique lets you by simply brushing roughly a mask over an area of an image, remove an area and automatically rebuild the pixels missing
Linear Resizing
Most programs including Adobe Photoshop / Elements / PhotoPaint or PaintShop use 'Bilinear' or Bicubic interpolation for image resizing. These two main interpolation methods have limits in the amount of resizing you may achieve. Above 200% upsizing this will often result with jagged and blurry stair-step effects.
HumanSoft XFile has been designed as a plug-in for all applications supporting photoshop plug-in (Adobe photoshop 7 to CS3, Photoshop Elements 2 to 6, Corel PhotoPaint, Painter, PaintShop, ULead, MicroSoft Picture or PhotoDraw), and provide several interpolation methods to give the best resizing on the market, among then bilinear, bicubic, mitchell, lanczos and our very own XFile proprietary technique that is giving amazing results.
HumanSoft XFile (unlike some other programs) does not feature any input or ourput file size limitation, it enables you to work directly on RGB or RGB 16Bits images. With HumanSoft XFile a 1000% or more increase in image size is not a problem. Image interpolation methods such as Lanczos or our own proprietary method will lets you also decrease image size while keeping the maximum of details.
One Easy and very Efficient Dialog with a large Preview
HumanSoft XFile will let you preview your image and examine very fast within a large preview window at the pixel level what is the image resizing technique that will suit your image resampling the best.

HumanSoft XFile advantages over other solutions?
Not only HumanSoft XFile is using special algorithms not available inside PhotoShop or other graphic applications/plug-ins but it enables to see very quickly what is the best algorithm available for the job. Adobe Photoshop / Elements / PhotoPaint or Corel PaintShop offer 'Bilinear' or Bicubic at their best that means that above then 200% resizing will lead to jaggies edges. Other Plug-Ins does not offer fast comparison, nor let you see sophisticated algorithms such as mitchell and lanczos. We are also very proud of our own 'XFile' algorithms that give amazing resampling results (upsizing or downsizing). Not to mention the low price of HumanSoft XFile that does not feature any limitation to make it affordable even for the casual user.
HumanSoft XFile is a n essential tool in the plug-in arsenal of anyone working on digital images.
