Ultimate DOF tool to put your subject in Focus!
Selective Focus
Depth of Field is used to focus the viewer on the subject of the photo. By blurring the background all attention is moved toward the main component of the photo. This technique is achieved when the photo is taken, but now with DepthField it can be achieved easily on any digital image. This tool provide the use advantage of not having to use expensive hardware and giving the photographer the ability to have more control over the final result.

Selection Modes
With DepthField photographers can create realistic focus. It is easy to adjust the focal point in different manner :
- Through a Virtual Lens, you can easily define the area in focus and also the amount of blur and the hardness of the blur edge. Testing an effect is very fast and can be adjusted at any time by simply dragging control points
- The Planar mode is like a 3D tilting effect that simulates the tilt effect of a tilt-shift lens. These lets you increase or decrease the amount of blur across a plane
- The Selection mode features a soft brush to create your selection, you do not need to go back to Photoshop or Elements to have a selection. A virtual brush will lets you create one in no time. Further feathering is possible. Alternatively you can import any image that will be converted as a soft mask.
All those modes might be used in combination for the ultimate effect.

Vignettes
You can combine those effects with vignetting. The vignette can be lighter, darker, or made of any color in combimation for creative effect. Vignettes might be added without any blurring at all.

HighLight Intensities
DepthField lets you adjust the highlight intensities on out of focus areas for more realistic effects.

Inverse Depth of Field
DepthField works also in a more subtle way, in which you do not blur the background but you increase the sharpness of the subject in focus.
